Q1. What is the procedure to shift the syllabi from old to new one?

Ans:- Just fill up the exam form with new subject codes.

Q2. What will happen to those students who had cleared some papers under the old syllabi?

Ans:- Students can continue the old syllabi till Dec 2010. If he/she will be unable to finish the course till then, it would be necessary for them to shift to the new syllabi. However, for those subjects that are common to both the syllabi, students need not appear in them again once they switch to the new syllabi. Q3. Which subjects have been deleted from the old syllabi for Electronics students?

Ans:- Engineering Graphics, Applied Mechanics and Numerical Analysis.

Q4. What will happen to those students who have cleared the above three subjects under the old syllabi?

Ans:- They would gain nothing even if they had passed in the above three subjects.

Q5. For Computer Stream, which are the subjects that have been combined?

Ans:- AC05 and AC06 would now come under one subject i.e., AC52, AC08 and AC13 would henceforth be one subject named AC59.

Q6. Will a student who had cleared AC05 but could not clear AC06 or vice –versa, be considered to have cleared AC52 under the new syllabi?

Ans:- No. To be considered as having cleared AC52 under the new syllabi, it is mandatory for the student to have cleared both AC05 and AC06 under the previous syllabi.

Q7. AC03 has been spilt into two subjects viz, AC53 and AC54.Will a student who had cleared AC03 under the old syllabi have to appear for the later two under the new syllabi?

Ans:- No. Clearing AC03 would suffice and will be assumed that he/she has passed AC53 and AC54.

Q8. What will happen to those students who have passed more than 5 papers under old syllabi but after mapping have cleared 3 or 4 papers of Sec A part I under new syllabi? Can they apply Sec A part I Lab Practice examination along with the Sec A part I and part II theory papers?

Ans:- Such students will be permitted to for Lab I of Sec A part I as well as balance of the theory papers of Sec A part I as a special case.

Q9. What will happen to those students who have passed more than 5 papers under old syllabi but after mapping have cleared 3 or 4 papers of Sec A part I and one and more papers of Sec A part II under new syllabi? Can they apply Sec A part I Lab Practice examination along with the Sec A part I and part II theory papers?

Ans:- Such students will be permitted to for Lab I of Sec A part I as well as balance of the theory papers of Sec A part I and Part II as a special case.

Q10. From which examination onwards New Syllabi starts?

Ans:- New Syllabi starts from June 2009 examination.

Q11. Upto which Examination old syllabi continue?

Ans:-Till Dec 2010 examination.

Q12. Will there be separate question papers for new and old syllabi?

Ans:- Yes. There will be separate Question papers for old as well as new syllabi till Dec 2010 examination. Thereafter Question papers will be as per new syllabi.
