The ultimate
guide to the C programming language. This guide assumes readers have a
general understanding of programming languages, and an understanding of the
PC/Wintel environment. Topics include: - numbers and characters - operators
- if/else command |
|
The book is written in very
simple language so that even an average student can easily grasp the subject
matter. Some comparisons have been given in tabular form and the stress has
been given on figures for better understanding of tools, equipments,
machines and manufacturing setups used in various manufacturing shops. The
contents include exposure to bench work and fitting, smithy and forging,
sheet metal work, wood and wood working, casting, welding and machine shop
practices. At the end of each chapter, a number of questions have been
provided for testing the student’s understanding about the concept of the
subject. The whole text has been organized in twenty six chapters. |

* Unique
interactive style enables students to diagnose their strengths
and weaknesses and focus their efforts where needed
* Ideal for self-study and tutorial work, building from an
initially supportive approach to the development of
independent learning skills
* Free website includes solutions to all exercises, additional
topics and applications, guide to learning mathematics, and
practice material
Students today enter engineering courses with a wide range of
mathematical skills, due to the many different pre-university
qualifications studied. Bill Cox's aim is for students to gain
a thorough understanding of the Maths they are studying, by
first strengthening their background in the essentials of each
topic. His approach allows a unique self-paced study style, in
which students Review their strengths and weaknesses through
self-administered diagnostic tests, then focus on Revision
where they need it, to finally Reinforce the skills required.

Schaum’s
Outline of Programming with C
Publisher: McGraw-Hill | 1996-06-01 | 532 Pages | ISBN: 0070240353 | PDF | 9
MB
The broad, yet in-depth coverage of C programming language, within the
context of today’s C programming style, makes this book as useful for
practicing professionals as it is for beginning programmers. This study
guide solves many sample problems using other programming languages so
readers can compare several popular languages. It also includes clear
explanations of most of the features in the current ANSI standard. The
emphasis throughout is on designing clear, legible, modular and efficient
programs.
A Teaching Reference, And A Great Book
C is not a large language, there’s not a lot to remember a far as
conditionals, types, etc… but there is much to learn. This book gives only
the facts and not dogma or methodologies, and the examples are to the point
as they should be. This book really should be hardbound and sitting next to
your copy of The C Programming language by DR and BK. This manila tome is
truly one of the hidden gems you can get for 15 bucks. Use it until the
pages fall apart, by then you will have assimilated it’s worthwhile
knowledge.
You really have to enjoy this book for it’s straightforwardness. If you like
the “Dummies” series, this book will progress a bit too fast for you, for it
is rather complete in it’s description of the language features. But if you
read and digest technical matters in one or two (or three) gulps, you’ll
benefit from this book.

MODERN PHYSICAL METALLURGY
AND MATERIALS ENGINEERING
By
R. E. Smallman, R. J. Bishop
[448 pages, 9 MB]
This text-book is not only
another physical metallurgy. By having modern title. This book enlarges the
entirely subjects in material engineering field was rewritten and enlarged
to encompass the related subject of materials science and engineering, not
only about metal alloy, this book also covers ceramics, polymer (plastics)
and other applied composite. This book begin to provide with theory of
Structure and bonding of atoms, we can understand the atoms characteristics
and properties by learning Atomic arrangements in different common materials
especially for metal material.
To get the metal metallurgy clearly, usually the metallurgy book consists of
explained structural phases, trying to understand phase change in various
metal phases, their transformation which influenced by their material
contents. Metal solid defect is included in next chapter with excellent
description causes and more updates figures. For strengthening and
toughening material, we must know full of material properties, physical and
mechanical behavior. For updated application, this book covers the
development modern alloy for widely range applications and technology.
This book also reviews about corrosion, so we can apply the suitable surface
treatment and engineering to avoid the material corrosion. For other
material, ceramics, glasses, polymers and other composites, they are
discussed in subject of engineering application with latest development of
technology. Due to lack of material resources in world needs, this book
comply the bio material: production, advantages and disadvantage in
engineering application, the characteristic and other subject related to
bio-material concepts. To convey the encouragement of the readers, this book
tried to review the material selection especially for material sports which
can be applied in better situation with more toughness and strength.
Compared to other metallurgy books, this book creates awesome atmosphere for
various readers, beginner students or advanced students or engineering in
metallurgy field. |
